Boot Camp Syllabus
Attendees will have a working knowledge of the following topics after coming to the class:
- Understand common sprinkler terms such as: Vacuum breaker, Anti-siphon valve, Pressure vacuum breaker, RP units, atmospheric vacuum breaker, manifold, solenoid, timer/ controller, electric valves, watering cycle etc
- Basic start up instructions, including: setting up the components before turning the water on, checking them after the water is on, running through zones to test for proper functionality, minor adjustments to nozzles etc
- Understanding Colorado temperature changes, emergency shutdown prior to a cold snap, turning off the water, setting up the vacuum breaker, proper valve handle positions, draining pipes, draining the vacuum breaker, manifold drains / limitation of the RP units
- Basic repairs to the system, replacing nozzles, fixing heads, and dead patches of grass
- Questions and answer Session.
